PhiBrows Microblading
Beautiful eyebrows can create a dramatically more youthful, polished appearance.
PhiBrows microblading is a process that refines or restores the look of ideal eyebrows, even for those that have lost most of their natural brow, or have little defined shape, with semi-permanent, hair-like pigment deposits for natural looking results.
Who would benefit from PhiBrows Microblading?
For those that seek to have permanent, shapely, defined brows and currently face…
- Sparse eyebrow hairs, half a brow, scarring or no visible brow at all
- Eyebrow makeup just melts and smudges and disappears
- Any medical condition limiting your ability to apply makeup
- Low thyroid: loss of outer third of brows
- Alopecia – loss of hair from brow, lash line or scalp
- Thinning of brow from chemotherapy
The process
Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery or 3D brows, is a relatively new method for enhancing eyebrows by using a very fine blade to deposit pigment into the epidermis to emulate natural hair. It is considered to be semi-permanent. It involves hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion (phi 1,618). The technique is intended for anyone over the age of 18 (persons under 18 must be accompanied by their parents) who wants to correct the aesthetic problems of their eyebrows.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What does it cost?
A: The cost for first time on virgin brows and retouching is $599. This price includes the touch-up that may or not be necessary, within the first 4-6 weeks.
If we are fixing someone else’s work, I will have to see you before I can give a price. Please call to schedule a free consultation with me.
Q: How long does it last?
A: On average you should expect a color refreshment every 10 to 12 months depending on skin and environment. If you have exceptionally oily skin it can be as soon as 6 months. Color duration primarily depends on the natural oiliness of the skin. The oilier the skin, the shorter the color lasts. Sweating and sun exposure can also reduce color contrast.
Q: Are the pigments and process safe?
A: Treatment is performed with disposable sterile tools (PhiBrush), and pigments are produced in accordance with the highest standards (PhiBrows microblading pigments).
Q: Is the process painful?
A: Pain during the treatment is relative. Clients with anxiety or fear about the procedure as well as female clients who are menstruating usually feel more pain. Other clients compare the pain to plucking eyebrows. I can use mild anesthetics in the form of cream or liquid that can almost entirely eliminate the pain during the treatment if you prefer.
Q. What precautions do I need to take prior to treatment?
A: The skin must not be in the inflammatory process or in the process of healing and regeneration before each treatment. You should not be on any kind of steroid medication. Do not drink any alcohol the night before your treatment.
The following treatments should be avoided for 30 days prior to the treatment:
- Botox and fillers
- Fruit or milk acids
- Laser treatments
- Chemical peelings
- Exposure to strong sunlight
